How This Tool Works
Use this as a spend planner before you commit to event purchases. It calculates the lowest real-money coin purchase after your existing coins, metals, free packs, and owned items are applied.
It starts with the usual low-cost path: craft Epics first when possible, then cover the remaining items with packs. After that it runs an exact coin-bundle optimizer to avoid avoidable overpay.
The output shows required coins, estimated USD cost, and bundle overbuy so you can decide between finishing now or waiting for free progress.
For budget decisions, run two or three scenarios: current resources, expected challenge completion, and worst case with no extra free packs.
Formula & Assumptions
- Remaining items = event items - crafted items - free packs - already owned.
- Coins needed = remaining items * event pack price.
- Coins to purchase = max(0, coins needed - coins owned).
- Bundle selection uses exact minimum-cost search instead of greedy approximation.
Example Scenario
- Pick Collection Event mode (24 items), enter 1,800 metals, 2 free packs, and 1 owned item.
- Review crafted Epics/Legendaries and the resulting coins still needed.
- Use bundle overbuy output to decide whether to buy now or wait for additional free packs.
Common Mistakes
- Assuming one large coin bundle is always cheapest for your exact target.
- Treating free packs as guaranteed before completing event challenges.
- Forgetting that milestone event structures can differ from classic 24-item events.
Data Source & Update Policy
- Pack price and crafting assumptions are tied to recent event pricing patterns documented in the tool build guide.
- Coin bundle pricing uses in-game store denominations and should be updated if store pricing changes.
- Event format assumptions should be rechecked on each event patch note release.
- Milestone event structures are less uniform than classic collection events, so those projections should always be validated against the latest event details before spending.
How To Validate Any Output
Treat this page as a decision aid, not a black box. Start by checking that your inputs reflect your real situation (current rank, level, inventory, or playtime). Then compare one result against a real in-game outcome or official patch-note value. If the output is directionally right and assumptions match your case, use it for planning. If your local conditions differ, adjust assumptions and run another scenario before acting on the number.
The goal is transparent utility. Every calculator here intentionally exposes assumptions so you can audit the logic quickly and avoid common mistakes from outdated guides. That approach helps this site stay useful even when the Apex meta changes, because updating a few clearly documented values is faster and safer than rewriting hidden logic.
