How This Tool Works

This calculator mirrors ranked post-match RP math so you can evaluate games before you queue. Input rank, placement, kills, assists, participations, and top-5 streak, then read gross RP, entry cost, and net RP.

Kills and assists are full value until the soft-cap threshold, then reduced beyond that threshold. Participations are always half value. That matches the practical breakdown competitive players track game-to-game.

Use it to stress-test your climb strategy: placement-heavy consistency vs high-variance elimination games at your current tier.

Formula & Assumptions

  • Net RP = placement RP + elimination RP + participation RP + streak bonus - entry cost.
  • Elimination RP uses placement-specific kill value and applies soft-cap handling after 8 eliminations.
  • Participation RP is half kill-value per participation.
  • Top-5 streak bonus: +10 / +20 / +30 / +40 depending on streak length.

Example Scenario

  1. Set rank to Platinum, placement to 4th, kills to 4, assists to 3, participations to 2.
  2. Set top-5 streak to 3 and inspect each RP component card.
  3. Run a second scenario with 10th place and fewer eliminations to compare net RP volatility.

Common Mistakes

  • Counting participations as full assists.
  • Ignoring entry cost when estimating if a game was actually positive RP.
  • Comparing games across placements without adjusting kill-value scaling.

Data Source & Update Policy

  • Entry costs are aligned to current official EA ranked documentation.
  • Placement and kill-value tables are checked against community-maintained ranked references and in-game post-match screens.
  • Values should be reverified each season and after major ranked format updates.

How To Validate Any Output

Treat this page as a decision aid, not a black box. Start by checking that your inputs reflect your real situation (current rank, level, inventory, or playtime). Then compare one result against a real in-game outcome or official patch-note value. If the output is directionally right and assumptions match your case, use it for planning. If your local conditions differ, adjust assumptions and run another scenario before acting on the number.

The goal is transparent utility. Every calculator here intentionally exposes assumptions so you can audit the logic quickly and avoid common mistakes from outdated guides. That approach helps this site stay useful even when the Apex meta changes, because updating a few clearly documented values is faster and safer than rewriting hidden logic.
